Position Summary
Sales & Marketing Manager is responsible for driving Modernvet’s revenue growth, market expansion, and brand presence by leading both the sales and marketing functions in an integrated way. This role owns the full client journey from awareness and lead generation through to conversion, closing, and retention, ensuring marketing investment translates into measurable sales results. The Sales & Marketing Manager also owns partnership and channel development strategy, and ensures all sales and marketing initiatives from digital campaigns and local activations to direct sales efforts are aligned with business objectives and brand positioning. As a people leader, this role coaches and develops both the sales and marketing teams while maintaining strong cross-functional relationships with the medical, operations, and commercial teams.

Key Responsibilities :
1. Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth
  • Develop and execute sales strategies and targets aligned with Modernvet’s overall revenue and expansion goals
  • Own the end-to-end sales pipeline lead qualification, follow-up, negotiation, and closing in coordination with branch and clinic teams
  • Set sales targets per channel/branch and monitor achievement against monthly and quarterly goals
  • Build and maintain a sales forecasting and reporting cadence to support business planning
2. Growth Strategy & Marketing Planning
  • Develop short- and mid-term marketing growth strategies aligned with Modernvet’s overall business targets and expansion plans
  • Define and own the marketing funnel from awareness and acquisition through to retention and referral, ensuring smooth hand-off to the sales function
  • Set overall marketing KPIs and targets for campaigns, tied directly to sales outcomes
  • Translate business objectives into integrated sales and marketing plans that are executable across online and offline channels
3. Partnership & Channel Development
  • Build and manage strategic partnerships with relevant brands, communities, platforms, and institutions across the pet industry, lifestyle, healthcare, and corporate sectors
  • Develop new sales and engagement channels to reach prospective clients through referral networks and strategic partnerships
  • Lead negotiation and structuring of partnership agreements, ensuring mutual value, revenue contribution, and brand alignment
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and agencies
  • Evaluate partnership performance and optimize or exit arrangements that no longer meet strategic or revenue objectives
4. Online Marketing Leadership
  • Oversee and direct the strategy for KOL and influencer marketing, paid media, performance marketing (ads), and online promotions
  • Review campaign performance and provide clear strategic direction and optimization guidance to the online marketing team, with a focus on lead quality and conversion
  • Stay current on digital marketing trends, platform developments, and competitor activity to ensure Modernvet maintains a competitive online presence
5. Offline Marketing & Field Sales Activation
  • Oversee and direct the strategy for local activations, community engagement, offline exposure, and in-clinic marketing and sales across all branches
  • Ensure each branch has relevant, well-executed offline activation plans that are aligned with the overall sales and marketing strategy
  • Bridge branch-level operational and sales needs with central marketing capabilities and resources
6. Market Intelligence & Competitor Monitoring
  • Lead the market intelligence function, ensuring the team consistently monitors the competitive landscape, industry trends, pricing, and audience behavior shifts
  • Translate market insights into actionable strategic recommendations for senior leadership
  • Identify threats and opportunities based on competitor movements, emerging platforms, and changes in client behavior
7. Budget Management
  • Develop, manage, and allocate the sales and marketing budget effectively and efficiently across online, offline, and direct sales activities
  • Ensure all spend is measurable and tied to defined performance outcomes, revenue targets, and ROI expectations
  • Prepare budget projections, realization reports, and spend justifications for management approval
  • Identify and recommend reallocation of budget based on channel performance and strategic priorities
8. People Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the marketing team across online and offline functions
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, goal-setting sessions, and one-on-one coaching with direct reports
  • Build team capabilities continuously in alignment with evolving business needs and sales and marketing best practices
  • Foster a culture of accountability, creativity, data-driven thinking, ownership of targets, and cross-functional collaboration within the marketing team

Key Deliverables :
  • Deliver an annual integrated sales & marketing plan covering revenue targets, channel mix, partnership pipeline, and budget allocation — reviewed and updated quarterly to reflect business performance and market conditions
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets, with a transparent, up-to-date pipeline and forecast shared with leadership
  • Build and manage an active partnership portfolio, ensuring new strategic partnerships are identified, negotiated, and onboarded quarterly, with regular performance reviews and clear revenue contribution
  • Oversee the consistent delivery of online and offline marketing campaigns across all branches, executed on time, within budget, and measured against defined KPIs — with consolidated performance reports submitted to leadership monthly
  • Maintain a competitive intelligence and market insight function, delivering quarterly reports on competitor activity, industry trends, and audience behavior shifts, with actionable recommendations
  • Lead team performance and development by conducting regular reviews, setting clear goals, and building team capability across both sales and marketing functions

Qualification :
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field; Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) is an advantage
  • Minimum 6–8 years of experience in sales and/or marketing, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role overseeing both sales and marketing functions
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales/revenue targets
  • Proven track record in building and managing strategic partnerships and channel development initiatives
  • Experience managing multi-channel sales and marketing campaigns from strategy through to execution and performance measurement
  • Prior experience in healthcare, veterinary, retail, or consumer lifestyle industries is strongly preferred
  • Experience managing external agencies, KOL/influencer programs, and media partnerships
  • Demonstrated experience in budget ownership and sales/marketing ROI accountability

Technical Skills
  • Strong working knowledge of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, or equivalent) and sales pipeline management
  • Proficient in digital marketing platforms including Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, and TikTok Ads
  • Comfortable working with marketing and sales analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, or equivalent)
  • Proficient in data reporting and presentation tools (e.g., Google Sheets, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Notion, Trello, Asana, or equivalent)
